Maryana Kahanyak Strategy, Business Development and Internationalization Women’s Leadership and Economic Empowerment International Development and Cooperation Ukrainian Refugee
On August 24, occupied Ukraine will be celebrating its Independence Day.
Nearly the same amount of people who have stayed have lost their homes, businesses, livelihoods.
No one was spared the tragedy of war: no gender, no class, no age group.
Not all refugees went to Europe.
Maryana and her son found themselves in the United States of America.

When one thinks of refugees, an image of Maryana is not what traditionally comes to mind. Maryana has more than 20 years of broad ranging professional experience in top management positions in the field of marketing and communication, business development and sales, big sports and country promotion projects, project and team management and international cooperation; over 5 years of experience in policy development and institution building for public sector reforms in Ukraine in the realms of trade development, export promotion, intergovernmental and international economic relations, global competitiveness of the national economy, SME development, women leadership and economic empowerment.
In 2018, she was recognized as on the top 100 most influential women in Ukraine.
How did she and her son end up in the USA? What were and are the biggest challenges she faces? When can she go home?
What does this mean for Ukraine? What does it mean for the world? Is there an end in sight?
How can we help from the US?
Join us in conversation with Maryana Wednesday, August 24th at 12pm MT.
